Capstone Project
Automated Hydroponic Herb Harvester

Built for Harvest Clean Eats, a local company operating automated herb farms inside shipping containers. The project required a machine capable of harvesting herbs at scale without manual labour.
I designed the entire machine in SolidWorks over 200+ hours — from initial concept through to detailed part drawings and assembly documentation. The design included safety features, potentiometer-controlled speed adjustment, and acrylic panelling for visibility and containment.
This was a team capstone project with 4 classmates at Dalhousie University, spanning September 2022 to April 2023. I led the CAD design effort while collaborating on mechanical analysis, prototyping, and multiple rounds of technical documentation and reporting.
