Atlas Structural Design

I've been with Atlas Structural Systems in Halifax since April 2022 — designing roof trusses and floor systems for residential and commercial projects across Atlantic Canada using MiTek software.

My work covers the full design loop: interpreting architectural drawings, laying out the truss and floor systems, running stress analysis on headers and jacks to accommodate openings in building structures, and producing client-ready shop drawings and quotes.

The role sharpened my ability to read and interpret technical drawings quickly, reason about load paths intuitively, and turn around accurate designs under tight deadlines.
