In my most recent project, I created an all-in-one personal kitchen companion web app designed for home cooks who want a clean, privacy-focused alternative to ad-heavy recipe sites, and recipe clutter.
The website has just about any feature you could ask for, but my favorite is how it consolidates recipes into one place. You can take a picture of a recipe print-out or cookbook, or paste a link to a YouTube video, social media post, or recipe website, and no matter what you input, you will get a clean, consistently formatted recipe automatically thanks to the website leveraging AI. These recipes also come with an automatic nutritional breakdown in the form of the same Canadian nutrition labels you see on all your food. They can then be edited, tied to a serving amount so you can scale easily, shared with friends, and given ratings. Then, once you want to cook, you can follow along with in-app timers and cross off items as you go.
There is so much more to the website that I won't bore you with here - if you're interested, I recommend you check it out with the link at the top of this page! To give a quick summary of the other core features: recipe-driven meal plans on a calendar where the food you've planned auto-populates a nutrition tracking dashboard with goals and recommendations, an automated grocery list, a cookbook creator, connectivity features for friends, achievements, and more.
